Administration Denounces 'Democratic Hoax' as Further Epstein Estate Photos Disclosed
Democratic lawmakers have made public a fresh batch of what they termed "alarming" photographs from the estate of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The initial drop of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been seen before—along with another 70 released later on Friday constitute a small number of the almost 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is looking into the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The shamed investor was a victim of apparent suicide in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking charges.
Notable Figures in the Photos
Among the prominent personalities shown in the opening set are public figures including film director Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump is pictured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are obscured.
White House Reaction
The White House reacted to the release in a statement, accusing Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the photographs for partisan aims and to "seek to establish a false narrative."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been consistently disproven," an administration official stated, asserting that "the current government has done more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats have at any point by repeatedly calling for transparency, releasing reams of records, and urging further investigations into Epstein's liberal connections."
Congressional Democrat Comment
The photos were released lacking captions, but per a California Democrat and ranking member of the investigative panel, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's connections to affluent people.
"Now is the occasion to halt this White House concealment and secure justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he declared in a comment.
The disclosure of these images coincides with the oversight committee proceeding with its investigation into the Epstein matter.
