In a bizarre partnership that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Revealed

According to the official statement, "A strange confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of forbidden practices and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine cult.

The mission centers on "bizarre tests and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Bonus Content

Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an unique katana alongside multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Titan-inspired attire for Yasuke
• Mikasa attire for Naoe
• Unique arms
• Survey Corps steed

Newest Free Story Update

This patch also brings the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." The series earlier included a 2020 crossover story connecting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
