Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been won on hardcourt

A comeback Medvedev claimed his first trophy for 882 days with success over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.

The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has had a challenging year, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.

His unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serve in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately separating with long-time coach Cervara.

Now training with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a hard-fought three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.

This marks Medvedev's initial championship since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court after that period of the previous year.

Success also signifies the Russian has secured 21 titles at twenty-one various tournaments.

"For the first time I have attended a competition with my two daughters together, so to get a championship is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This victory is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."

The athlete, the former major winner, had lost his past six finals, comprising in that event earlier this year.

The player's defensive strategy and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted observers to wonder if his skill to perform at the highest level was concluded.

But the player has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to come to the net and play positively, supported by an enhanced serve.

The champion came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, taking four of the concluding five games to take the lead.

Both players exchanged breaks in the second set before Moutet, striving for his initial tour title, took control to push for a final set.

He defended 4 early break points in a close deciding set before Medvedev won the break to that score to close out the victory.

Fittingly, he clinched the win with a rally at the net, with Moutet incapable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
