Intensive Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have caused power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has escalated attacks on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has demanded "substantial measures" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not window dressing but firm measures - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and implementing restrictions," was stated in a online statement.

Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets attacked the country's power systems, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes damaged energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, per statements from local officials.

Local officials said the city endured heavy assaults overnight. A seven-year-old child lost their life and three other people were wounded.

The strikes follow periods of bombing campaigns in the region, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to identify.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with attacks already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were bracing for additional strikes.
