Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Battles Artist Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match victorious streak was ended by the Black Cats before the international break, but can the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, fans and a variety of guests.

For week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's latest record, Knees Up, is out on the weekend.

Football and Family Life

Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several charity football matches over time - but he is not intending a serious return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer team," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be quite close, however. Burnley are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's only on the road win this season came at Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno was previously that team's manager.

So, what exactly do I go with here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I will choose Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season began, but they have impressed a several people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.

My son advised me to select Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are always decent at home. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

Olly's view: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality turns out to be quite close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

They have got plenty of talent in their team but it still feels like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

Their performance in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the sole team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that Fulham are on a bad streak... but Fulham have still been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
