The Red Devils Poised to Sign German Striker Lea Schüller away from Bayern Munich
The Women's Super League club are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific German striker Lea Schüller in a permanent move away from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.
A Marquee Signing for the WSL Side
The forward, with six months left on her deal, has been a prolific goal-getter for both club and country. Having scored more than 100 goals for Bayern and scored 54 times in 82 caps for Germany. This signing will be seen as a marquee coup for the WSL team.
Departure from Munich has been anticipated after she was seen fighting back tears while thanking the club's fans following a victory over Bayer Leverkusen this month.
It was reported in December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was set to lose one of its top strikers. Per multiple sources, all the paperwork for the transfer are now finalised.
Consistent Goalscoring to Boost the Attack
The experienced striker's signing should represent a significant uplift to United’s attacking options. Schüller has been remarkably reliable with her finishing in the Bundesliga.
